David Reznick studied composition at UCLA, and did graduate work at San Francisco State University and Oberlin Conservatory. He was choir director at the Moreno Valley School District, Sunnymead, California and at Jefferson Elementary School District, Daly City, California. Church Choirs he has directed include the March Air Force Base Protestant Chapel, Island United Church, Foster City, California, and First Universalist Church of Denver. He has sung extensively with such groups as The Roger Wagner Chorale, The San Francisco Symphony Chorus, The Oakland Symphony Chorus, and the Cantata Singers of the San Francisco Conservatory of music. He now lives in the Seattle, Washington metropolitan area.

Publications include Three Shakespeare Songs, (Heritage Music Press), Three English Lyrics, (J. Fischer) and Ave Maria (Lorenz Music  #15/201R)
